The Humane Society of Allen County is a non-profit 501(c)(3), charitable organization. It receives no federal, state, county, or city tax dollars to support its programs or services. The Humane Society of Allen County is supported by private donations from citizens, businesses, and foundations who recognize the important contributions of the society to the community. We are very grateful for the financial and community support we receive from our friends through adoptions, memberships, and donations.
How do your donations help?
- $5 helps us feed a cat or dog for a week.
- $10 helps provide treats and chew toys for the animals.
- $15 provides litter for one cat for a month.
- $20 helps us neuter one male cat.
- $40 will cover the costs of spaying one female cat.
- $50 helps cover vaccines that we provide free for all adoptions.
- $100 provides full veterinary care for one cat, allowing them to be put up for adoption.
- $150 provides full veterinary care for one dog, allowing them to be put up for a adoption.
- $250 helps us pay for heartworm treatment for one dog.
- $1,000 helps support our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program to prevent wild cats from reproducing.
- They all add up! Every single donation no matter the amount, helps in a big way!

Have you found an animal on our web site that you’ve just fallen in love with but can’t take home? Most of our pets are available for virtual adoptions! Your small donation will help us provide a cat or dog with a nice warm bed to sleep in and food to eat! We’ll even give you an awesome certificate so you can let everyone else know you’ve helped, and hang a special announcement on their home that they’ve been virtually adopted by you!
