Pets help us so much, throughout our lives! They give us love, laughs, friendship, comfort, and exercise. This bond can become even more important for senior citizens, who may need fun ways to stay active and a companion to cheer their days. However, many seniors must live on a fixed income, and owning a pet can be a financial hardship. Thanks to the support of caring local donors, the Humane Society of Allen County can help!
We are proud to offer the Seniors for Seniors adoption program, which helps seniors 60 years of age or older adopt a pet six years of age or older at a reduced adoption rate. The Humane Society of Allen County will help you select a companion who fits into your lifestyle and housing situation. Additionally we can continue to help those on a fixed income you with food and litter costs.
